Good Blogs Who Were Never Nominated

Filed under: hard to categorize — extrakorea @ 3:33 pm

10 Magazine’s poll of readers’ favorite blogs is over.

Some good blogs were initially nominated but eliminated in the runoff round (e.g. monster island).

I’d like to mention some good blogs that were never nominated.

* An acorn in the dog’s food

* Ask a Korean!

* Dokdo is ours!

I’m not sure whether or not to mention @koreangov. It went into retirement, but then made a one-post comeback and reactivated its twitter page.

  2. That whole voting thing got a bit weird toward the end. I am surprised yours and Ask A Korean! weren’t nominated in the first place. For that matter, Acorn and Dokdo is ours! deserved nomination, too.

      I think the fact that people could see the results before the poll was finished definitely had an influence. I’m positive that some people voted for the eventual winner so as to make sure that the runner-up didn’t win.

  3. Yeah, I’m surprised too. There really should have been a basic nomination round that didn’t take into account people’s IPs. That way I could have voted for E!K after stuffing the ballot box for myself.

  4. Dokdo is Ours! did a brilliant parody of the runner-up. He tried to save face by leaving sarcastic comments. Not surprising, since there wasn’t much else he could do. They had his number and he knew it.
